It needs a proper name for the Avatar world... But as it's a big wolf, for now I'm just calling it a Dire Wolf.
For Southern Wolf, I need to tell the story of how Sokka got the title, and I'm using the Inuit legend of Amarok: a giant spirit wolf said to hunt down and devour anyone foolish enough to hunt alone at night. I'm guessing Amarok is the wolf here: [link] The one drawn here isn't specifically Amarok, but a legendary monster said to be descended from Amarok. I didn't color the wolf, but its supposed to be brown too. The guy standing next to it is meant to be Sokka wearing the fur of one. Well, at least part of the fur, it's huge. |
